Most hosts asking about design help are really asking two different questions at once: what should this room look like, and who is going to make that happen. Those are two separate services, and picking the wrong one is the most common reason a design project stalls out.
What virtual design actually includes
Virtual design gets you a complete plan: layout, furniture selections, and a shopping list. Every item on that list is in stock and ready to ship, because a virtual project only works if you can walk into a store or place an order and have your space finished within days, not months waiting on a custom sofa. You handle the ordering and the install. We handle the thinking.
This is the right call if you're hands-on, comfortable assembling furniture and hanging art yourself, and want to keep the budget closer to the design fee than the furniture bill.
What full-service adds
Full-service design adds procurement and install management on top of the design work. We order everything, coordinate delivery, and travel to the property to oversee the install and do the final styling ourselves. You get a finished, photographed-and-ready space without touching a single box.
This is the right call if you own multiple properties, live far from the one you're furnishing, or simply don't have the time to manage a multi-week install on top of everything else running a short-term rental involves.
The real question: time or money
Virtual design costs less because you're supplying the labor: unpacking, assembling, arranging, returning what doesn't work. Full-service costs more because that labor, and the judgment calls that come with it, gets handled for you. They're built for different owners.
When full-service is worth it
If a property sits empty and un-bookable while you're managing a DIY install around a full-time job, the lost booking nights add up fast. For remote owners or anyone managing more than one property, full-service usually pays for the time it saves on its own.
How to decide
Ask yourself three questions. Can you realistically block out the days it takes to receive, assemble, and arrange a full shopping list? Is the property within driving distance? Do you want creative input along the way, or a finished result with no decisions left for you? Your honest answers point to the right package faster than any pricing page can.
Not sure which one fits your specific property? That's exactly what the first call is for.
